Judith Miller's Book "Costume Jewelry"states that a series of 6 brooches inspired by Georges Braque were designed by Helen Marion for Vendome (page 131). This brooch is also featured in Harrice Simons Miller's "The Confident Collector" 2nd Edition - color section. Brooch has a large red cabachon, colored and clear pave rhinestones and fired enameled sections in a granulated gold setting. Excellent vintage condition.
